Welcome again dear readers! Today I have one more summer craft to go with the rope coasters. It’s really really easy, anyone can make it. You can use different styles and colors and even create a pattern of your own. Let’s go!
DIY Paper Butterflies
- Paper in square shape
- Double-sided tape / Glue dots
For this version I’m using non-sticky note cubes as the paper is already square and my butterflies will be the same size. However, you can use any paper you want and even cut out your paper as big or small you want.
Step 1: Start by folding the paper in half so the butterfly’s wings can be identical and to help you with cutting.
Step 2: Then, draw with your pencil the outline of your butterfly on the top half of the paper. You only need to draw one wing, and half the body.
Step 3: Cut carefully on the outline.
Step 4: If the pencil outline is too visible you can either erase it or make bolder with a black or gold marker.
Step 5: Open the folded butterfly and carefully fold its wings upwards.
Step 6: Use double-sided tape or glue dots to stick under the butterfly’s body.
Step 7: Now make more butterflies and stick them anywhere.
You can use paper in the shades of one color to make an ombre wall piece of butterflies
